With tons of award-winning restaurants, a vibrant Downtown, and a consistently packed events schedule, Raleigh truly is a one-of-a-kind place to live. Get an inside look at all that Raleigh has to offer, and see if your dream home is on the market!

Local Shopping & Dining

Raleigh’s culinary scene has established quite the reputation over the years and boasts several nationally recognized restaurants and chefs. In fact, Raleigh-based chef Ashley Christensen recently won the prestigious James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef in the country. Be sure to try out Christensen’s restaurants like Poole’s Diner, Beasley’s Chicken + Honey, or Death & Taxes. Other popular spots around the city include Brewery Bhavana, Bida Manda, and Crawford & Son.

There are also a number of popular shopping districts around the area, filled with both locally owned and chain retailers. If you’re looking for some retail therapy, check out North Hills, Crabtree Valley Mall, or the shops in Downtown Raleigh!

A Busy Events Calendar

If you get bored over the weekend, odds are there’s some sort of event happening in Downtown Raleigh. A few of our favorite happenings around the city include Thrive NC, Brewgaloo, and Artsplosure. And don’t forget about Dreamville, J. Cole’s brand new music festival that just kicked off its first year (and will hopefully be back for a second)!

Aside from the big annual celebrations, you’ll also find smaller things like outdoor movie parties, art gallery openings, and concerts on the schedule every week.

Tons of Outdoor Recreation

You might think that since Raleigh is a mid-size city, there isn’t much green space to explore. But Raleigh is pretty unique in that there are tons of parks both big and small scattered throughout the area.

William B. Umstead State Park is the largest option, and here you’ll find miles of trail networks, waterfronts, and wide-open expanses. When you’re hiking through the woods, you’ll almost forget that you’re just outside of the city! Other options include Dorothea Dix (which has prime views of the skyline) and Lake Johnson.

A Thriving Job Market

Moving to the city and looking for work? Then you’re in luck: Raleigh has one of the hottest job markets in the country and an unemployment rate well below the national average.

The biggest career fields you’ll find are in the tech industry, although there are plenty of other options. The largest employers in the area include the State of North Carolina, Wake County Public Schools, IBM, and WakeMed Health and Hospitals.

A Wide Variety of Homes for Sale
